Another win for Adam Smith!
The Rothwell S.K.C Kata competition was held in mid- December 2006 and was won yet again by young Adam Smith. This is the second time that Adam has won this competition. The event attracted a lot of brown belts so the event was a lot harder than previous years. The standard of all the entrants was of an exceptional level and Adam had to work hard to retain his title. There were a total of thirty-five entrants, all ranging from 9th Kyu (orange belt) to 1st Kyu (brown belt). Black belts are not permitted to enter this event so it provides an opportunity for coloured belts to gain experience and progress further within the competition.
